The Community Partnership Program (PKM) is very helpful to improve the standard of living of the economy so that it can be prosperous. Community life in Lontar Village is dominated by fishermen group partners with a total of 1327 people. The results of fishing production by fishermen groups in Lontar Village can be said to be not optimal when compared to the sea area of 11,134,224 Km2 and the length of the coastline is 517.42 Km. Currently the livelihoods of the people of Lontar Village are mostly fishermen, who every day look for fish to make ends meet, the fishing boats used are made of wood with a long shaft type outboard engine. An important aspect that gets attention is that most of the fishing boats cannot go to sea because there are frequent engine failures when they are about to be operated, which is 4-5 times a year. The purpose of implementing PKM is to provide training in the maintenance of long shaft type outboard engines by application. The method used in the implementation of PKM is to provide assistance and involve fishermen group partners during the training process, this is an effort to transfer knowledge and technology for long shaft type outboard engine maintenance. As a result of PKM activities, fishermen group partners can carry out maintenance of long axle type machines independently to reduce maintenance costs.
